Itinerary
Day 1
Upon arrival at Kotoka International Airport, you will be met and assisted by a CombGhana Liaison and transferred toto your hotel. Overnight stay including dinner.
Day 2
After breakfast, checkout of your hotel and depart to Akosombo. En route Shai Hills, explore ancestral caves which was once home to the Shai people’s ancestors and used by their king until the late 19th century. Trek through the reserve and look out for wildlife including Baboons, bushbucks, Monkeys, crested eagle and many bird species. Continue on a drive to Akosombo, check in and enjoy a boat ride on the Volta Lake with scenic view. Overnight at Akosombo including dinner.
Day 3
After breakfast depart to Tafi Atomey, a village where inhabitants revere monkeys because they consider them sacred and protect them. The mona and patas monkeys can be seen feeding off the hands of visitors, whiles some roam around the village. Next, visit Tafi Abuife kente village where you will have experiences like watching how the artisans weave the kente patterns by hand on looms, take weaving lessons and also get the opportunity to purchase unique, vibrant and authentic kente cloth directly from the weavers at good value. Continue to Wli waterfalls the highest waterfall in Ghana and the tallest in West Africa. It is divided into two sections with ice-cold water flowing from 80 feet high. Enjoy a hike through lush greenery of the Agumatsa Forest Reserve where you will cross the same river eleven times to reach the breathtaking falls. Head back to the resort for overnight stay and dinner.
Day 4
Enjoy the day at leisure relaxing by the pool or take a dip.Depending on your fitness and endurance level, there is an option for hiking and kayaking at Akwamu gorge at Atimpoku. The peak offers a spectacular view of the Adomi bridge. Overnight stay including dinner.
Day 5
After breakfast, head back to Accra. Base on your flight itinerary an airport drop-off will be arranged and your tour guide will be available till you say goodbye for final departure home.
