Itinerary

Day 1

Upon arrival at Kotoka International Airport, you will be met by CombGhana liaison officer who will assist you with your transfer from the airport to your hotel for check in and orientation session. Depending on your arrival time, we may begin a selected tour of Accra.  Buffet dinner included.

Day 2

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxing day. In the evening, attend AfroFuture Fest, a unique opportunity to celebrate African diversity, inclusiveness, the thrilling and thriving millennial talent, culture and art from and in Africa. The experience will take you on a musical journey from the past into the future with live performances and art installations all add to the stunning experiences at this premier festival.

Day 3

Enjoy a wide array of sumptuous buffet breakfast at your hotel and enjoy a relaxing day and prepare for the second night of Afrofuture Fest. Get ready to dance, party and make new friends.

Day 4

After breakfast, enjoy your day at leisure. Pick up at your hotel in the evening to enjoy local meals at Buka Restaurant.

Day 5

Enjoy a relaxing day at a beach. We return to the hotel to get ready to countdown the year with spectacular fireworks and toast to the new year. Dinner included.

Day 6

We check out of our hotel and depart to Cape Coast, passing through Assin Manso slave river and memorial site. A naming ceremony will be held at a local chief’s palace. All participants will be required to be in white attire for the ceremony. Enjoy a drive to Kakum Park, a reserved tropical rainforest in West Africa. Upon arrival, enjoy an adventure walk on the suspended 40 meters above the forest and marvel at the breath-taking view of the landscape. We continue our excursion to the dungeons. The region has had the most significant effect on the lives of Africans in the diaspora.  We will walk through the dungeons and historic door of no return where slave trade was once central to the slave era. Cape Coast Castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was one of the departure points for Africans during Trans-Atlantic Slave trade. Afterwards, check in to your hotel room to freshen up and have dinner with live band music.

Day 7

After breakfast, checkout of your hotel and head back to Accra, passing through Gomoa Nsuaem near Winneba to enjoy scenic and captivating eco-tourism and wildlife experience. You will have lunch and continue to Accra to check in to your hotel room.

Day 8

Enjoy breakfast and spend time doing last minute shopping prior to your final departure to the airport. Your guide will be available till you say goodbye for final departure home.
