Itinerary
Day 1
Upon arrival at Kotoka International Airport, you will be met by CombGhana liaison officer who will assist you with your transfer from the airport to your hotel for check in and orientation session. Depending on your arrival time, we may begin a selected tour of Accra. Have buffet dinner.
Day 2
After breakfast, checkout of hotel and depart for Cape Coast with stops at Kakum National Park, a tropical rainforest expanding over 360sq km, 1,000 foot long made with seven-bridge walkway over 150 feet above the ground. Enjoy adventure walk to discover variety of exotic floral species and animals. After, walk through the dungeons and historic door of no return in Cape Coast Castle where slave trade was once central to the slave era. Cape Coast Castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was one of the departure points for Africans during Trans-Atlantic Slave trade. Proceed to Elmina Castle also known as St Georges Castle, built by the Portuguese in 1482 to facilitate trans-Atlantic trade during slave era. Check in to your hotel to relax and have dinner.
Day 3
After breakfast, checkout of hotel and enjoy a tour to Elmina fishing harbor for a picture-perfect experience. You will have the opportunity to see colorful fishing canoes, and observe how fishermen and fish mongers trade at shore.After, we proceed to Assin Manso Slave River designated as a memorial site to honor the victims of the slave trade where our ancestors had their final bath before being confined in the dungeons to await their forced journey to the Americas and Europe. Enjoy a drive back to Accra. Overnight stay at a hotel includes dinner.
Day 4
Depending on your flight itinerary, enjoy buffet breakfast. Your guide will be available till you say goodbye for final departure.
